Beth Allgood

Technical Expert

Beth is the Founder and President of OneNature, where she leads research on the value of wildlife and nature to human wellbeing. She has developed approaches to measure and support community wellbeing in biodiversity and climate work in order to create more sustainable outcomes for people and wildlife. Beth is also an advisor to several non-profits and sits on several International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Commissions.

Before founding OneNature, Beth was the US Director at the International Fund for Animal Welfare. She led a team of conservation and animal welfare experts and conceptualized and led IFAW’s work integrating animals and human wellbeing to create system change. She led research, published reports and papers, and developed partnerships on the topic of wildlife and wellbeing, presenting her findings at international summits and policy venues including Congressional and UN fora.

Earlier in her career, Beth was the Senior Policy Advisor for International Government Relations at The Nature Conservancy, Congressional Liaison and Government Aid Agency Liaison at the World Wildlife Fund. She worked for the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Peace Corps. Beth holds a Master of Science degree in Business from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs (with minors in Economics and Italian) from James Madison University.
