Sophie Meissner

Sophie Meissner is a liberal arts student at the University of Amsterdam, with a focus on disease ecology and film. Growing up near the Great Lakes, Sophie developed a passion for conservation, specifically how science and restoration can be communicated to the public. Currently in her final year of University, she is working on her bachelor’s thesis on the infection risk of schistosomiasis and how it varies with seasonality, while also volunteering at ARTIS Micropia, a museum focusing on microbes in Amsterdam.
