Hermen is an energetic and passionate senior business executive who is driven by the positive contributions innovative technologies can make to a sustainable future for humanity. He has extensive, multi-disciplinary experience related to environmental observation, climate change, sustainable energy, and technology innovation from working in both the public and private sector.

In recent years Hermen has focused his activities on the Blue Economy. He has a solid understanding of geo/hydrospatial technologies, policy, and markets and an extensive global network to match.

With a natural talent for relationship management and building partnerships, Hermen’s career has covered strategy, business, and organization development; executive, commercial, and operational management; and leading complex projects and programs in international environments. He is an alumnus of the International Space University and of Delft University of Technology and speaks English, French, German, and Dutch.
